My TBL Journey

It’s been a pleasure to be working with such a great group of people over the last year. The CROPs (Crew & OPs) team have worked so hard to get to this point; many long days and late nights have gone into organising the trip.

It’s now that time of year again where we go off on an adventure for a week and nothing ever feels the same afterwards. Spending 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a group of strangers would probably have been top 5 on my list of the most intimidating things to do. But ever since my first time on The Big Lift, it’s now become one of my most anticipated events of the year. The work we do with the community is mentally fulfilling in itself but on top of that, you bond with a group of people who have a common outlook on helping out the community and life in general. It really helps with broadening your perspective and pushes one to grow as an individual.

The final days are about the countdown to our ‘Big Lift’ off. The adrenaline is beginning to kick in. Endorphins will be on constant high. My body is ready.
