Howdy y'all! Dasha and Peter here to recap our fourth day! On the forth day the blue bus arrived to the town of Texas in Queensland. As the bus came to a full stop in front of Reg Saunders Memorial Sports Ground we were all mesmerised by the beautiful sunset and orange sky in the distance over the green-olive mountains.
That early evening we explored the surroundings and recuperated from our exhaustion. Texas was a particularly special town. It was one filled with multiple emotions.
The morning in Texas began with a delectable breakfast which included freshly fried eggs with bacon and bread cooked up by none other than the darling Loupy. After breakfast was time to proceed to our service project. The service project on the fifth day was one that differentiated from the others. In the previous service projects we were normally split in small groups and allocated heterogenous tasks. However that day together as a bus our task was to repaint and rejuvenate the interior and exterior of the sports ground shed with ivory white paint for the Men's Shed.
Hours of joyous painting and bonding moments the shed was revived once again.
After a sizzling lunch we reloaded our bus and proceeded to our next destination.
The Gold Coast. The excitement was tangible - REAL BEDS AND HOT SHOWERS HERE WE COME!!!!
