Our Theme for 2026: Seed of Change

Our theme for 2026 is Seeds of Change. We hope to nurture the seeds of love and dedication that have been planted by past CROPs (executive and crew leaders). They have led TBL so well to what it has grown into today that is so much more than just a community of volunteers. We also hope to grow the seeds of connection that we have planted in the 100+ towns that have generously welcomed us into their community. We aspire to plant new seeds of TBL joy in towns we have yet to volunteer in, and in societies we hope to collaborate with. And finally, we wish to grow seeds within ourselves: to develop roots grounded in the TBL community so that each of us can flourish in our own ways and always carry the courage to pay it forward.

In 2026 we are being intentional about aligning all our events and decisions with our values of community within TBL, city and regional relationships, community within regional towns and personal development. We are creating an environment in our CROPs team that fosters reflection, vulnerability, compassion and support so we are best equipped to provide a space for all our volunteers to feel welcomed, included and safe. We are also hoping to make the communities we volunteer with feel more seen and foster stronger relationships beyond our trips. 

We are so grateful for the generosity of the towns, organisations and individuals that have supported us in the chain of paying it forward. We truly would not be able to run our lifts without all of their support. We invite you to join us in 2026 to share in the uniqueness of the TBL community and all the hope and love that it holds for everyone who is a part of it.
